Osseointegration is the direct structural and functional connection between living bone and the surface of a load-bearing artificial implant, typically made of titanium. This bone bonding type of implant (osseointegration implants) are currently in common used. The placed artificial root with bone donding allows achievement of very high stability and comfortable chewing ability without wobbling even when chewing hard foods.
