A zygomatic implant was developed for implant placement into the severely resorbed posterior maxilla (upper jaw). Although the alveolar bone may be resorbed, no zygomatic bone is resorbed. Therefore, an extremely long implant is placed into the posterior maxilla or into the zygomatic bone through the maxillary sinus from the palatal side. This unique implant is used exclusively by the Bremark system.
